Although silver hut is located in the place which is only 15 minutes’ drive distance from Shinjuku center，it is in a quiet residential street surrounded by the green. Silver hut inherits the theme of urban residence completely open to external environment，and this concept is implemented in a most simple form. At the same time，the conscious form operation is avoided，instead，temporary nature and realism or materialism are formed as the starting point of the new theme.
The basic construction of the building is：every space，including the courtyard，is supported by concrete pillars with intervals of 3.6 meters.
The top of building was covered by light steel vault roof. According to the different characteristics of each space，spacing of the pillars and the size of the vault roof are modified. As the result， according to the seven vault roofs，the whole building was divided into 7 independent family collections，which possessed an image of settlement.
The vault roof with light steel frame is contrasted with thick concrete pillars. Its various components in diamond shape were made in a factory. Because dry construction was adopted on the site by only using the bolt fastening together，the way of building gives a very strong distinct characteristic for the house of the temporary atmosphere.
In addition，the packaged furniture uses the opening section of automobile parts，or reuses niche pillar in the old house and the like. The use of various elements not only forms the objective experience，and also gives the building an atmosphere of joy according to the requirements of each space.
Each space is minimally segmented. All of the seperations are made by perforated metal， steel lattic screens，or glass which are visually permeable. Therefore，seen from the inside，a very bright transparent space was created.
literal：The word of literal is derived from the German sachlichkeit， and it represents the understanding of the space in Japanese architecture culture.Emphasizing the real subjective perception instead of the objective existence，“literal” characterizes rebuilding the meaning in architecture on the basis of the object itself.
