I had different opportunities to work in China，to give lectures and to build there and I always feel something different and very exciting. Forme the big difference between China and Western countries is a kind of desire for tomorrow and curiosity for the future. It is the state ofmind in which the Western countries were in the 50s and 60s. The acceleration time is happening today in South Asia and as an architect，particularly in China， we feel an appetite and a desire to discover new things， for what we are able to provide. It‘s exciting and it forces youto exceed yourself！ I have many Chinese architect friends， especially in Beijing. We are often discussing about the future of architecture， andparticularly the development of education in it， as I am creating and launching a new school for architecture in France. This new internationalschool， Confluence Institute for Innovation and Creative Strategies in Architecture is open， alternative， collaborative and innovative： a newapproach to learning architecture in the 21st century.
