New Film Series on Art Released

A series of film interviews with Ghanaiancontemporary visual artists was recentlyreleased by Berlin-based production andcuratorial platform Showcase together withtheir colleagues and partners from BureauAfrica.
The video project is now internationallylaunched under the title “The Black Stars ofGhana - Art District” and comprises a seriesof documented conversations with a groupof leading and upcoming contemporaryvisual artists in Ghana including AbladeGlover, Kofi Setordji and Wiz Kudowor. Allepisodes will simultaneously be broadcaston This Is Africa and on Bureau Africa TV’sYoutube Channel.
This interview project is part ofShowcase’s initiative to feature excitingcontemporary art from regions which aretoo often disregarded when Eurocentricart professionals are debating and decidingamong themselves about who is whoin the art world.
